The photolog is a collection of pictures I've taken with my Canon Rebel (a digital SLR camera that went on the market in September 2003), and some accompanying notes about how I took them (and what I did to them in Photoshop afterwards, if anything). The pictures have been resized to 500 x 333 pixels to fit here. Any other modifications are noted in the "editing" box; other information that accompanies the picture is exif data read from the camera. You'll need the Flash 6 or higher plugin installed in your browser, and a monitor display of at least 800 x 600 to view the photolog (but picture resolution is best at 1024 x 768). |

The 3-hour photo workshop included tips on photographing stained glass windows, framing a picture, taking outdoor portraits, choosing a focus, etc. It was a fun three hours and I hope to take another of David Luria's safaris one of these days. |

A record warm day in Washington, all the animals were out enjoying the sun. The elephants threw sand, the pandas rolled around in the grass, the ducks bobbed and danced and did their mating thing, and I tried to capture some of it in pixels. |
